Then she began her service to the community working with the PTA of Manoa Elementary and Haverford High school. She worked in many capacities over the years including at Girard Bank until Jay’s birth. Once out of the Navy they moved back to Philadelphia in 1969. After marrying Jim on November 27, 1965, they moved to Norfolk, VA where he was stationed aboard the USS Hermitage LSD. She trained for Girl Scouts Leadership with Girl Scout Troop 9 at Wissahickon Baptist church and attended the Girl Scout Roundup with her Senior Troop in 1962 at Button Bay, Vermont. She excelled in many activities including volleyball, softball, basketball, A Capella choir, Girls Glee and the Yearbook Committee. Martie, as those that loved her knew her, graduated Roxborough High School in June 1962. She is also survived by several friends and family far and wide. Martha is survived by her loving husband, James Earl Drew son, James Clarence Drew (Noel Guilford) granddaughter, Grace Anne Drew and daughter-in-law, Virginia “Ginny” Drew. She is also preceded by the late David Marier. Martha was the daughter of the late Clarence and Martha (nee Yarnall) Zelner and mother of the late Nicholas Earl Drew. Martha Helen Drew Martha Helen Drew, 77, of Havertown, PA, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 22, 2022.
